Sauce can be made a day before. 500g minced beef 1 tablespoon oil 2 onions, chopped 2 cloves garlic, crushed 400g can tomatoes 1 cup canned tomato puree Â½ teaspoon dried oregano leaves Â½ teaspoon chilli powder 310g can red kidney beans, drained 125g baby mushrooms, sliced 375g pasta
Heat oil in pan, add onions and garlic, cook, stirring, until onions are soft. Add mince, cook, stirring, until well browned. Add undrained crushed tomatoes, tomato puree, oregano and chill powder, bring to the boil, reduce heat simmer uncovered 20 minutes or until sauce is thick. Add beans and mushrooms, heat thoroughly; serve over hot boiled pasta.
