Chicken Teriyaki with Yoghurt Chilli Sauce Directions
1298 kilojoules/ 310 calories per serving 1 tblspn oil 3 tblsp soy sauce 3 tblspn Worcestershire sauce 2 tblspn red wine vinegar Â¾ cup dry sherry 2 tblspn brown sugar 2 cloves garlic, crushed 4 single chicken breast fillets, cut into thin strips 4 pimentos, cut into thin strips Â½ cup natural low fat yoghurt 1 tblspn freshly squeezed lime juice Â¼ tspn sambal oelek (chilli paste)
1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over moderate heat. Add the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, red wine vinegar, dry sherry, brown sugar and garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
2. Stir in the chicken pieces and pimentos, cook until chicken is cooked through and sauce thickened slightly.
3. To make yoghurt sauce: Mix the yoghurt with the lime juice and sambal oelek. Garnish with fresh chopped herbs if desired.
